Photograph Notes: With a nod to British artist Andy Goldsworthy, our
neighbors on San Juan Island decided to create a temporary sculpture made out of
driftwood. This hollow globe was constructed in an hour or two and, being built
on sand below the waterline, was intended to be a temporary effort. This
view shows the globe in its setting on the beaches of Kanaka Bay; the bottom is already under
water as the tide has rolled in. Books by (or about) Andy Goldsworthy and his sculptures
