Photograph Notes: After hiking in the Grand Tetons, I saw
some bushes moving slightly in what seemed like an unusual pattern. A
bit concerned that it might be a bear, I climbed to the top of a rock
and saw this huge pair of antlers instead -- they looked as though they
were about six feet across!! It turns out that they belonged to a big
bull moose (someone thought it was a pine moose) and we got some
beautiful photos - see the
next two photographs. (August of 2005.)
