Although this is a website for our family, a number of the pages have significant interest for visitors to our website such as some of our photos of bald eagles and killer whales, our family history including some of the Oregon Trail diaries and my grandfather's autobiography, our wine tasting notes, and so on.

We have joined several affiliate programs that sell services that are related to our family interests. These programs help us generate some fees that allow us to pay for the hosting costs for our website. We thought that we'd explain some of these. Significantly, we have been customers for EVERY affiliate program that we recommend. 	Abebooks.com Abebooks is the world's largest online marketplace for books. Whether it's new, used, rare, or out of print books, you can find it here, through our community of over 13,000 independent booksellers selling 70 million books from around the globe. Also, a great source of textbooks.
	Alibris - Buy new, used, and hard-to-find books Alibris collects titles from a nationwide network of used bookstores. Consequently, it can almost always locate even some of the books that can be the hardest to find. The actual booksellers indicate the quality of their books and any special details such as whether it's been signed by the author. In our case, we found a signed copy of one of my grandfather's books through them.

	Amazon.com - Earth's Biggest Selection Not much to say here; Amazon.com covers pretty much everything we can buy from books to DVDs, to electronics and clothing. Service is good and the personal reviews from buyers on the products make it easy to get valuable information.
	ART.COM! Art.com has one of the broadest collections of posters available - in particular, they have a great selection of animal and wildlife posters with some great pictures by Ansel Adams, Art Wolfe, and more.
	Buy.com: A huge selection of great products at incredible prices! Buy.com has a broad selection of different items in their various stores: books, electronics, computers, music, movies, etc. We've been pleased with the monitors and other consumer electronics we've purchased through Buy.com -- and their Deal of the Day (see left) makes it easy to find some of the small things too.
	Interland - $7.95/Month Hosting Our website has been hosted at Interland for four years and we would highly recommend it if you are looking to establish your own website or email domains. Their current offer is very affordable.

Photographers have a new and easier way to store and share their pictures with family and friends. Once online, these photos can be easily edited, cropped, or enhanced with borders and special effects by using Ofoto's free online tools.
	Luggage Online: The web's largest selection of high quality, brand name luggage and briefcases. Superior customer service and fast free shipping on orders exceeding $125. Whew. Their blurb pretty much says it all. We've ordered a couple of Kiplinger roll-on bags and service has been great.
	Powell's Books Powell's is one of the largest used bookstores in the country. As a Portland institution for years, it is also a great resource for books on the Northwest, including pioneer histories and more.
	Shutterfly - Digital Photography and Online Photo Sharing Shutterfly has been a great way for our family to share photographs from family reunions -- in addition to giving us a way to make our wildlife photos available online. Our orders have always been promptly handled -- even my mother's order for 250 prints for her Christmas cards.
	SmugMug is the current ultimate in photo-sharing websites; we use it to publish all of our photos to our family as well our own photos for purchase. This family-owned website now manages online photo galleries for over 50,000 families. Not only that, you can easily order photos from the site as well. And, they offer great advice on how to work with photos.
	Snapfish - Online Film Processing and Sharing Snapfish is our newest affiliate. It gives a second option for us to share our photos from the San Juan Islands.
	Wine.com for Parties and More Wine.com has been the source for many wines that we have enjoyed. Wine.com can ship to many states.
	Wine Enthusiast - wine cellars, accessories and more The Wine Enthusiast is a great source of wine accessories for everyone from casual wine drinkers to the wine geek from down the street who has everything. We have bought parts of our cellar storage systems as well as kitchen accessories from their catalog. Nice quality.
