Photograph Notes: While waiting for a group of buffalo to
cross the road in front of our car, this buffalo just stuck out his
tongue as if he was telling our car where to go stick it. The amazing
thing is that the tongue is sort of bluish-gray in color; it's hard to
believe from its appearance that (at least as far as I can recall) the
tongue was so tasty that it led to the near extinction of the buffalo. (August of
2005.)
