Photograph Notes: With a nod to British artist Andy Goldsworthy, our
neighbors on San Juan Island were inspired to create a temporary sculpture made out of
driftwood. This hollow globe was constructed in an hour or two and, being built
on sand below the waterline, was intended to be a temporary effort. This
close-up view shows the details of its construction; the bottom is already under
