Photograph Notes: I snagged this photograph on a
Boy Scout expedition to dig (and sleep in) snow caves. We were 6,000
feet up on Mt. Rainier; on our hike up, it started to snow lightly. One
of the boys left his sunglasses on a block of ice and as the snow
drifted overnight, it lightly covered the rest of the head. At dawn the
next day, this is what I saw. |
