Photograph Notes: This small group of whales
was literally just circling around, probably feeding, for at least 15
minutes no more than 40-50 yards off the shore. I've always admired the
professional photos that show the breath exhaled from whales as they come to
the surface but I couldn't figure out how they made the exhalation so
apparent. Then, I took this picture about an hour before sunset almost looking
into the sun and it was obvious that the sun backlit the spray in the
exhalation. |
